Annette and Colin – Knockavilla | Ireland

June 10, 2012

I had the incredible opportunity to meet Annette a few years ago. Annette is a midwife at George Town Hospital in the Cayman Islands. Over the years Annette made the decision to go ‘home’ to Tipperary, Ireland as her ‘Fella’ was missing her and the long distance relationship was wearing them down. We all reluctantly let Annette go home and tearfully waved off our dear friend with the notion “she’ll be back!”.  So when we all got the call that “I’m getting married” we were getting a bit worried….. this must be serious! Annette called me and asked if I would photograph her wedding, I was so excited! 3 flights later I landed in the beautiful country of Ireland. I was taken straight to Annette’s mum and dads house were I was immediately handed a hot cup of tea by the fireplace and some homemade bread!

The wedding day was stunning, Annette was drop dead gorgeous, Colin looked amazing and didn’t miss a single second to harass me with his award winning humour! The day started around 9am with getting ready shots, the ceremony around 1pm, the dinner around 7pm and dancing….. maybe 10pm? NO NOT IN IRELAND! These people never go to bed!!!! 3am they were still going are they MAD? What a great great great party, with some great great friends. And the Weather????? It rained everyday that I was there…. except on the wedding day! Blue sky’s and stunning scenery!!!!

Awesome! If I were lucky enough to be starring in these images I’d print the image of the ice cream shop with the Granny and hang it SO LARGE on my wall.
