Catriona and James are ‘local’ on island here, but originated from Ireland, so when they announced their wedding at Grand Old House in the Cayman Islands, they knew they would have a mass showing from overseas! From old photos, special items bought from their parents wedding including Irish lace, there was so many lovely things included in this special day for Catriona and James. They had know each other since they were teenagers back in Newbridge, Co. Kildare, Ireland. They became friends again in 2006 and had their first “date” Jan 12th 2007.

We were at home, I had brought out dog Dexter outside for a few moment, when I came back in James had called me into the next room under the pretense that he had fallen and needed help. When I went into see if he was ok, he was down on one knee with the ring box in his hand, and I said yes.
I got the dress online, at lightinthebox.com I had tried on loads of dresses before in Miami, Ireland but didn’t see anything I liked. I just saw the dress and knew that was the style I wanted, I took a chance and ordered it in Champagne and when it arrived it was better than I could have imagined. I just loved it.
What advice would you offer other couples planning a destination wedding?
Take time to enjoy the day and if you have family with you give them jobs to do and don’t take on too much yourself.

Take time to review what shots be done at the venue, or what previous shots have been done there.
For James it was me walking down the aisle, for me it was seeing him there and the smile on his face. We had included a line from Game of Thrones and when Ms. Joy delivered the line we both couldn’t stop laughing
It was amazing, the best day of our lives. We felt so much love and happiness from everyone.
How was your experience taking photos/working with me on your wedding day?
It was amazing, you made everyone feel at ease immediately, very professional going above and beyond what was expected, especially when we were at the dock and you had water up to your knees.
The most anxious part for me was when I was waiting in the car before I walked down the aisle, my father held my hand, I though I was going to cry, I did hold myself together, then I thought I was going to fall down the steps.

The dinner was an hour late being served, so we had to have all the dances together to make up the time. Jame and I danced to Withering Heights by Kate Bush and then we grabbed our parents to dance and the rest of the group
