The Ritz Carlton Grand Cayman – Sara and Graham – “When Pigs Fly”

January 31, 2015

Sara and Graham were married at the Ritz Carlton Grand Cayman. Their ceremony was on the beach and the reception was held in the beautiful Grand Cayman Ballroom. While Sara got ready she was surrounded by her family and friends who helped her with her Monique Lhuillier gown and makeup and hair. The decor was handled by the Ritz and Elena was the planner extraordinaire.

HOW WE MET:

Sara….
I pretty much was at the point of giving up dating when we were introduced by a friend. Our first date was at a local restaurant, which turned out to be a sports bar (Graham thought it was fancier). We ended up participating in the Wednesday night Trivia game, and spent 5.5 hours chatting and getting to know each other. Love at first sight for me. He was a bit too good to be true. After 3 years together, he really is just that good! You have to hit up Graham for his first impression.

Graham…

Sara and I were introduced by a friend, and first met at what was supposed to be a cool restaurant with a lot of interesting small plates for sharing.  I picked the place because I knew she was a foodie and thought it would be fun.  I had been there once several months prior, but we found out when we arrived that the restaurant switched over to being a neighborhood tavern.  We were disappointed, but quickly discovered they were hosting trivia that night and we decided to give it a shot to test each other.  I still remember her smile and the exact moment we met, just like it was yesterday.  We didn’t do so well at trivia, but we had a blast and stayed almost until closing just talking and getting to know each other.  We had so much fun and thought it was a perfect first date.  That made it an easy decision to go back for a second date to redeem ourselves for our prior trivia performance.  We did better the next time, but since moved on from trivia.

THE PROPOSAL:

I was planning on propising to Sara on a mountain but the cold/windy/snowy weather didn’t cooperate with my original proposal plans (on the summit of Sugarloaf).  On our drive up there to go skiing, we stopped at a restaurant called “When Pigs Fly”.  Long story short…I spontaneously changed my plans and proposed in the snow filled parking lot of the restaurant. She said it was ironic because she thought pigs would fly before I proposed.

This first look was so special and unique. Sara wanted Graham to have to wait until the last minute to see her so we decided that they would both hold giant balloons, and then Graham walked down the pier and then let go of the balloons.cayman islands wedding photographercayman islands wedding photographercayman islands wedding photographercayman islands wedding photographercayman islands wedding photographercayman islands wedding photographercayman islands wedding photographercayman islands wedding photographervcayman islands wedding photographercayman islands wedding photographercayman islands wedding photographercayman islands wedding photographer
