We always knew we wanted a destination wedding, and after doing some research, Grand Cayman seemed perfect (easy marriage laws, beautiful weather). I 100% recommend a destination wedding ANYWHERE – what other chance will you have to go on an amazing vacation with all your close friends and family?

Do your research and find a great wedding planner that can make the day relaxing for you. Especially since you’re not there to oversee the process, it’s very important to find someone you can trust! I also recommend having a welcome party for your guests to get to know each other. It’s nice to break the ice before the actual event!

BAD WEATHER!….and it happened! Everyday we were on the island was beautiful, even the morning of our wedding! However, once the rain started that afternoon it wouldn’t stop. I thought this would be the worst thing that could happen, but it ended up not even bothering us. In fact, I think some things turned out even better due to the rain (two photo shoots with Rebecca, and a later reception).

AMAZING! Rebecca was easily the best decision we made for our day. Even though it POURED and a few other things didn’t go as planned, Rebecca was able to lift the mood with her great energy and made the entire process so easy. She even stood in the rain to get the best lighting for our “getting ready” shots! Not only did she provide for us the day of, but she even offered to come back the following day for an hour to get some beach pics of the two of us since our ceremony and reception had to be moved indoors.

Do what’s right for you as a couple – don’t let other people’s opinions affect what you want for YOUR wedding day!

Definitely the dancing! We had a great group of family and friends that keep the party going until 11:30. We only stopped because we had to!
