My dad was Dallas’ high school football coach. We met when I was in 8th grade at a track meet. We officially started dating my jr. year of HS. Dallas went off to college where I followed him. We both graduated from Sam Houston State University. After graduation we moved back to our hometown where I became an elementary school teacher and Dallas is managing one of the family businesses.
I found my dress at Whittington Bridal in Houston, Texas. My mom, MIL, and SIL went with me one day to look at dresses for the first time. I looked around and picked out a couple I wanted to try on. My mom, MIL, and SIL found one on the manikin they wanted me to try on. Once I tried on the other four I decided to try on the one they picked out. It was love at first sight.
4 years ago we went on a cruise; one of the locations were Grand Cayman. I fell in love with GC and I told Dallas if he was ever going to propose please do so there. Three years later we were back for my college graduation gift. It was set in my mind he was not going to propose, because he told me it would be when I least expected it. When we were headed out to Sting Ray City I asked him to “please propose here next year.” When we got to Sting Ray City he asked me to go under water and take a picture with him. When we went under water to take our picture he had the ring in front of me. It was picture perfect and couldn’t have asked for anything better..

Yes, at the first look. It was fun to do a first look. I was totally against it until I decided we should do pictures other places than just the venue. I liked having the one on one time with him before we got wrapped up with all the family.
Excited!! I wasn’t nervous at all; he is my best friend.
