We met at the University of Pennsylvania where we attended college and ran track. Both of us were sprinter/hurdler combos. We basically ran into each others hearts within a couple of months of conversing with one another. We love to goof. We love to dance. We love to travel.

I was with my two sisters and my mom when going dress shopping in Chicago (my sister’s city of residence). I had ideas of the dress style that I was interested in, but I also wanted to be open minded. I wanted to go to more of an artsy boutique so that I could find something uniquely me. I probably tried on at max 15 dresses. Towards the beginning, when i was trying on dresses that were the style i was “looking for”, I was becoming defeated because they weren’t fitting or feeling as I would have imagined them too. So then one of the stylists said, “Let’s just completely change gears here and try something different, are you up for it?”. I was definitely up for any ideas. She pulled a two piece item into the dressing room and my first thought was, “uhhh….two pieces???”. But then as I tried it on, and looked in the mirror, I literally fell in love and FROLICKED out of the dressing room. It was perfect, just the amount of unique I had dreamed of, and was so comfortable (which was also crucial for beach wedding + dancing!!!). I also thought it was pretty cool that I could wear the top again with a cute pair of jeans in the future! Score.

We were traveling in Italy visiting family and touring various cities. During our trip to the amalfi coast we stayed in Sorrento for a couple of nights. We had an amazing traditional Italian dinner then walked through the maze of intimate alleys the city has to offer while enjoying gelato. We made our way back to the hotel for a breathtaking views of the city and coast on the private rooftop deck. We decided to lounge next to the infinity pool while we gazed at the beautiful landscape, which included the beautifully lit city, the coast, and Mount Vesuvius accompanied by a full moon and a sky full or stars. Before I knew it, Jeremy was on one knee proposing! And might I add, at that exact moment a shooting star flew across the sky (or maybe a green UFO-to never be determined–whichever it was Jeremy claims that with this sighting he KNEW it was the right moment). Annnnd it was,I said yes in pure shock and utter happiness!

EVERY SINGLE MOMENT was more than what we could have hoped for. The wedding itself was flawless and the days leading up to it relaxing in beautiful weather and enjoying time with family and friends without being overwhelmed absolutely contributed to our amazing experience. We both like to cut a lil rug and shake our tail feathers, so if we had to choose, our favorite portion of the night was dancing with our toes in the sand with some of our closest family and friends under a full moon lit sky. Also, tossing cake to our guests and finishing our first dance as a newly married couple in the ocean were completely sporadic moments that encompass who we are as a couple. That was awesome.

Could not have been better.

Just do it!!!! If you are as laid back as the islands are hire a wedding planner and enjoy the ride. Whether there are 100s of people or just 20 you will have a great time.

Make sure to have some ideas that embody you as a couple but other than that just go with the flow and listen to your photographer’s ideas. Also, make sure you have enough time to get the pictures that you want. Be comfortable. Be you. You’ll be beautiful.

Loved first looks, takes away a lot of anxiety/stress for trying to “avoid” one another pre ceremony , and we were able to capture a lot of great photos by doing so!

We were both excited and anxious as these were moments that we had been waiting our lives for.

It was absolutely amazing. You had great ideas with the bridal party and were very patient. During the ceremony/cocktail hour/reception I know you were able to capture every raw moment and emotion as I didn’t feel like you were “in the way” or asking us to do anything that was scripted. All of us just were, and you were able to capture it rawly, which was so important and special for us.

John Legend-All of me. We decided to just do a family circle dance and blend together our entire family of parents and siblings. For the family dance we did Aerosmith I don’t want to miss a thing.

Best island ever. My family has been there that past couple of years for the Christmas Holiday. The diverse population, the courtesy and generosity of everyone, the service provided, the safe culture are just a few of the gems that this island provides. It’s our paradise 🙂
