Tell me about your dress. Where did you find it, how did you choose it, how did you know it was the one? Who were you with? How did you choose the grooms outfit?
My dress was custom made, I took some time to research designers in New York that would do something similar to what I was looking for. The whole large store experience felt impersonal and overwhelming to me, so going with a couture designer was my choice. I went to look for the dress alone, mostly due to living away from my family, and I must say it was a great experience to identify what I really wanted. The grooms suit was from Hickey Freeman, made in his home town in Rochester, New York — he knew exactly what he was looking for, and got it on his first visit.
Keep in mind the photos that you would like to take, or have someone in your wedding party to help with that. In the rush of the moment, or with everything going on, it’s easy to forget the ideas you had.
We did the first look and we loved it. It allowed some time just for us, before the ceremony, and took away a little of the anxiety from the whole thing.
The groom was very relaxed. On the other hand, I was anxious about being center of attention. But in the end, everything was a lot easier and quicker than anticipated – and it felt great.
We both felt very happy and relieved that we had already had our moment to see each other during the first look
We had visited Grand Cayman a few times, and we love it there, we feel very welcomed and relaxed while there. So we wanted to share that with our family and friends

How did you find your photographer? Online research? Word of mouth?
Online research. We met with Rebecca while visiting the Island, and knew we didn’t have to look any further.
