Where are you both from

I am originally Scottish but my dad moved when I was 9 months old and I grew up in the Cayman Islands – so I feel more Caymanian than anything else
James is from London.

The Dress

It was actually the first store I went to- when you know you know. I went with one of my sisters and bridesmaid. We went to a second store that day and every other dress I tried on after that I didn’t like because all I could think about was this one. I ended up cancelling all other appointments and going back to try it one more time.

How did James pop the Question

On a very windy day on Mount Etna in Sicily. The trip was just after our 5 year anniversary.

How did you meet

We met in our first year at Glasgow University.

The Venue

We wanted a balance between traditional but also relaxed so kept in line with most traditional aspects. For most of our guests the location was certainly unique. I loved seeing everyone dressed in suits and dresses drinking from coconuts. We chose Kaibo because it is so beautiful and unique. We love how laid back it is whilst also having really good food and drinks. But also that area of Cayman is somewhere James and I have spent a lot of time together so it felt very special.

Decor

Once again all Charlotte at Celebrations. We gave input on what we liked and she took care of it all. I was so excited to see it on the day as it was partly a surprise for us too and I knew she would do an amazing job.

The Aisle

I was so excited to see James and to get married but I was very nervous to walk down in front of everyone, there were definitely a few tears shed.

The Kiss

The first kiss was something we didn’t practice but it was so nice to do after a whole day of not seeing each other. A couple of days after the wedding we got a sneak peak of our first kiss photo and it made us both gasp- so beautiful.

Photos

Honestly the whole experience was really fun. We felt like stars the whole day. I loved the fun group shots with our bridal party too.
