The Dress
Héctor Rodriguez and I were up at 5am talking all of the time not only about the vision for this dress, but the themes & elements that were important… he drew innumerable sketches and we reworked them 10283793x bc there always felt like something was missing… we had mood boards, we had so many conflicting elements & @hectorirodriguezofficial is the only person that I know that could break down complex pieces to keep core essentials recreate a new idea from them. A true artist, seriously! he brought the dress to life, the way his final sketch portrayed it. It was timeless, bold and daring It was both elegant and alluring. Perfect blend of grace and desire. He captured a divine femininity wrapped in the magic of a modern fairytale. A harmony of contradictions. The same contradiction that makes up every human. It is truly a masterpiece! Another lovely detail: he designed the veil entirely on his own, inspired by the timeless grandeur of old-world Europe… cathedral arches, classic lines!
How did you both meet
We met through my dad – officially, anyway
How did Carlos pop the question
We had been dating for nearly 10 years and for my 28th birthday he brought me to our favorite place in the city & set up candles and everything <3!
The Venue
We chose the venue because we felt it was the right size for an intimate wedding, we loved that it was close enough to the beach without being on the beach!
The Aisle
I was so calm and happy 🥰
Traditions
I had both parents walk me down the aisle, we said our own vows… a friend officiated
The Kiss
The first kiss was not long enough! We needed to kiss 2-4 more times bc we were so nervous!!
Any Anxieties
I was anxious the entire day but the minute I saw my husband I was instantly calm and so so happy!
Taking Photos
I loved being able to be playful with my husband and having it captured in a fun and free way!
