THE DRESS
I tried on several different dresses in numerous boutiques across London – classic, modern even a few wild cards. When I found the dress I sent a photo to my sisters and their reaction was instant!

THE VENUE
Cortijo San Francisco is a very special venue full of charm and history. A paradise lost in the middle of the Costa del Sol. A wonderful farmhouse almost hidden by lush vegetation. Imagine staying in a house that has been the refuge of Hollywood actor Stewart Granger and that has such a particular and eclectic construction as El Cortijo San Francisco, in Estepona.
This farmhouse full of details and with the cosmopolitan Andalusian charm of the coast; it is one of the last secret refuges in this area.

WEDDING PLANNER
Tara Chapman – absolutely wonderful to work with. Calm, creative and completely on top of every detail. Made the whole experience feel effortless and joyful!

HOW DID YOU BOTH MEET
We met on a beach in Thailand in 2016, completely by chance. I was travelling with my friends and he was doing the same. One evening we ended up on the same beach bar, started talking and something just clicked. What began as a spontaneous conversation ended up turning into hours of laughter and chats. That unexpected meeting became the start of everything!

HOW DID JAMES POP THE QUESTION
On a sunny crisp Autumn afternoon in Richmond Park we’d set up a picnic on the hill for my birthday. I was happily writing my birthday date on the cork from the champagne we’d just popped (a tradition we have for special occasions), completely unaware of what was coming. Then he casually suggested ‘Why not write engagement on it too?’ I looked up, confused – he was down on one knee asking me to marry him!

FIRST LOOK
My dad came in to see me but was a bit distracted by the fact that he was the very important job of walking me down the aisle, and of course to deliver a good speech! My mum on the other hand came in and saw me and started crying straight away, she had never seen the dress in person and was blown away!

MY DAD
I was anxious about the church, walking up the aisle is daunting! But it all worked out well and my dad was right beside me to calm my nerves.

THE AISLE
When I walked down the aisle there were a range of different emotions! Nervous and excited seeing all of my friends and family at me. Once I locked eyes with James, I felt calm and filled with joy!

THE KISS
James leaned in for the first kiss a little giddy..trying not to trip over my dress! It was sweet, slightly dramatic and totally unforgettable! The guests cheered and we both looked at eachother with pure happiness!

LEAVING THE CHURCH
We loved coming out of the church to our family and friends with confetti being thrown in the air, that felt magical!

APEROL LADY
From the first moment walking up the aisle to the very last dance, everything came together perfectly. From the Aperol Lady to the unforgettable band, we had the perfect day – joyful and unforgettable!
