Where are the newlyweds from?
💃 Abigail: Originally from Antrim, Northern Ireland 🇬🇧
🕺 Jack: Originally from Naas, Co. Kildare 🇮🇪
And now? Both proudly Dublin-based! 🍀
A Northern Irish girl and a Kildare man who somehow ended up finding each other in Dublin — and the rest is history! ❤️

THE DRESS
Finding my wedding dress was quite the story! It actually started before I was even engaged. One of my best friends got engaged before me and asked me to be one of her bridesmaids, so naturally, I took my bridesmaid duties very seriously and started helping her look for her dress. I went straight onto Instagram and fell down a complete rabbit hole of wedding dresses, designers and bridal inspiration, and quickly discovered Milla Nova and absolutely fell in love with their dresses. I showed my friend the designer, and even though she had already bought a dress, she loved Milla Nova so much that she actually went and bought one of their dresses too! So when it eventually came around to me getting married, there was never really any question about where I wanted to look. I already knew I loved Milla Nova, so I looked up where their HQ was — Warsaw, Poland — and decided that if I was going to do it, I was going all in! I ended up flying to Warsaw three times to try on dresses before finally finding the one. On the day I found it, I was there with my mum and my best friend — the very same friend who had started this whole Milla Nova obsession in the first place! I think we tried on about 11 or 12 dresses that day. It was absolutely roasting, my mum and my friend were happily drinking away, and I was absolutely boiling trying on dress after dress! 😂 But eventually, I walked out in the dress. My mum and my best friend both immediately teared up and said they just knew it was the one. And honestly, I knew too. So after three trips to Warsaw, countless dresses, a lot of sweating and two very emotional witnesses… I said yes to the dress! 🤍

THE PLANNER
We worked with Jess from White Wedding Days, who we actually found through our venue. We had spoken to a couple of different planners beforehand as we were trying to find the right fit for us, but as soon as we spoke to Jess, we just knew she was the one.
She completely understood our vision from the very beginning and, because she knew the venue inside out, she was able to give us so much guidance and reassurance throughout the planning process. She was absolutely brilliant from start to finish.
On the wedding day itself, Jess made everything feel completely seamless. Any little issues that came up, she dealt with straight away, meaning Jack and I could just relax, enjoy ourselves and properly take in the day with our family and friends.
We would highly, highly recommend Jess to anyone planning their wedding. She was such an important part of making our day everything we hoped it would be, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better planner.

DECOR
Our decor was done by Dezo Flowers, while our wedding planner, Jess, also has her own stationery company and created all of our wedding stationery.
This was definitely one of the things Abigail spent a lot of time fussing over! 😂 There were so many little details to think about — the colours, the flowers, the stationery and how everything would come together.
But honestly, when we saw it all on the day, it turned out even better than we could have imagined.
The flowers looked absolutely amazing, the colours were so bright and vibrant, and everything worked beautifully together. The blues, greens and whites we had envisioned all came together exactly as we had hoped and fitted perfectly with the venue.
It was one of those moments where you spend so much time worrying about all the tiny details beforehand, and then you see it all in place and think, “Oh… it actually looks incredible!” 😂
We were honestly so happy with how everything turned out.

BRIDESMAIDS DRESSESS
Finding the bridesmaids’ dresses was also a bit of a process! I had a pretty clear idea of what I wanted from the beginning, and knew I didn’t want a really traditional bridesmaid colour — no bright yellow or anything too standard. Wanting something a little bit different, and already knew my flowers were going to be blues, greens and whites, because they’re my favourite colours, so I wanted the bridesmaids’ dresses to complement that without being white. I didn’t want white bridesmaid dresses, and the other colour I kept coming back to was a really soft, silvery blue. One day I was walking around Belfast and ended up in Victoria Square when I spotted Coast and noticed they had bridesmaid dresses. Naturally, I went in for a look! 😂 I had a look at the quality and thought, oh my God, this is actually really, really good — and the pricing wasn’t too bad compared with some of the more traditional bridesmaid dress brands either. The only problem was that the dresses they had in store were quite strong, bold blues, and I knew straight away that wasn’t the look I was going for. So, naturally, I went home and started looking online. I thought, you know what, I’m going to have a proper look at Coast’s website. And there it was — the colour I had been looking for! It was this beautiful, soft blue rather than a really strong or vibrant blue, and as soon as I saw it, I just knew it was going to work. I already knew I liked the quality, so it felt like a no-brainer. I knew the colour would work beautifully with the blue, green and white flowers, suit the setting and, most importantly, look gorgeous on all the girls. So after all that searching, I found exactly what I had pictured — a soft blue that was a little bit different, but still completely tied into the overall look of the day. 💙

HAIR AND MAKEUP
I actually found our hair stylist, Ella, through Instagram after Jess highly recommended her. Naturally, I had a very good snoop through her Instagram first to see if I liked her style — and I loved what I saw! We went for the trial and instantly got on really well. I also warned Ella from the beginning that I’m quite particular and, importantly, that I change my mind… a lot! 😂 She completely embraced that and was so relaxed about going with the flow. And, true to my word, the look we ended up with on the wedding day was very different from what we had planned at the trial. I even decided, fairly last minute, that I wanted to cut my hair a LOT shorter than it had been.
Cutting my hair was absolutely not on the bingo card, but somehow we just went for it and chopped it! 😂 Ella was amazing throughout the whole process and was so accommodating, patient and willing to adapt to whatever I decided I wanted. She really listened to how I was feeling on the day and made sure the final look felt right for me, even though it was completely different from the original plan. I honestly couldn’t have asked for anyone better to deal with all my last-minute changes — including the rogue haircut! ❤️
Our makeup artist was Kirsten, who was actually recommended to me by a friend from work. Her daughter had recently got married in Spain and Kirsten had done her makeup, and she couldn’t have spoken more highly of her. She told me that Kirsten was amazing and, most importantly, made your skin glow — which was exactly the look I wanted! When we met for the trial, I did warn Kirsten that I can be quite particular when it comes to my makeup. I’m so used to doing my own makeup that I find it hard to completely hand over the reins to someone else! 😂 It’s not even big things — I’m talking about very specific little details like the shape of my eyebrow arch, my lipstick and all those tiny things that I’m probably the only person who would notice! Kirsten completely understood that, really listened to what I wanted and created the most fabulous look.
She managed to give me the glowing, polished makeup I wanted while still making me feel completely like myself. I’d also had my usual lash extensions done back in Dublin by the girl who normally does my lashes. I always go for a really natural look, so I wanted to stick with what I know and love. Unfortunately, the lashes didn’t quite make it through the Spanish swimming pool! 😂 Thankfully, Kirsten was on hand to reconstruct what was left of them and completely saved the situation! She was brilliant from start to finish and created exactly the look I had hoped for. ❤️

THE SUIT
Hi, Jack here! Finding my suit was a bit more of an adventure than I expected! I initially went to a suit rental shop down the back of Temple Bar in Dublin. It was more of a rental place rather than somewhere you’d go for a made-to-measure or bespoke suit. I tried one on, but I knew pretty much straight away that it wasn’t right for me. I didn’t like the fit, didn’t really like the suit, and honestly couldn’t wait to get out of it! 😂 So we left feeling a little discouraged that we hadn’t had much success and started walking back towards the car.
Then, completely by chance, I walked past Louis Copeland & Sons. I thought, sure, why not have a look? Louis Copeland is obviously a very different proposition — premium menswear and made-to-measure tailoring — so I went in, had a chat with them and decided to go for it. I ended up being really happy with the suit, although getting it right was definitely a process! I had to go back three times to be measured and have various adjustments made before we finally got everything exactly right. 😂 But after all the fittings and tweaks, we got there, and I was really happy with the finished suit. So, in the end, what started with me walking out of a rental shop thinking “this definitely isn’t it” ended with me randomly walking into Louis Copeland and finding the suit I wanted.

THE AISLE
Before I even got to walk down the aisle, I was honestly a little bit all over the place! 😂 I was trying to organise the girls, the bridesmaids, the flower girls and the page boy, making sure everyone was in the right place and ready to walk out at the right time. Thankfully, I think we actually managed to get everyone out in the right order and on time!
Then it was my turn.
I was walking down the aisle on my own, carrying my bouquet with a picture of my dad, so naturally I was feeling pretty nervous and emotional. It was obviously difficult not having my dad there physically to walk me down the aisle, but having his picture with me made me feel like he was still very much part of that moment.
I was nervous standing behind those doors, but I also felt comforted knowing that he was with me in his own way.
And then the doors opened…
I saw Jack at the end of the aisle and everything else just disappeared.
All the nerves, the organising, the chaos beforehand — it just went away. I could only see him, and suddenly I was just so excited to walk towards him and finally become his wife. ❤️

HOW DID YOU MEET
Our story actually started back in 2019, when we both graduated from university and began our careers in property.
Abigail had graduated in Belfast and decided she wanted to leave Northern Ireland, explore somewhere new and start her career somewhere different. Dublin felt like the perfect option — close enough to home that her parents weren’t too worried! 😂
Meanwhile, Jack had graduated from university in Dublin and was also starting his career in the property industry.
We both secured graduate roles with different property companies in Dublin, so technically, we started out as competitors!
Then, a few months into our new careers, we both ended up at the Young Surveyors Ball — and that’s where we first met.
We got chatting that night, hit it off straight away and got on really well. But there was no whirlwind romance just yet…
Instead, we became friends and stayed friends for the next two years.
Looking back, it’s quite funny to think that we were both starting out in the property industry, working for competing companies, and had absolutely no idea that we’d eventually end up married to each other!
And as they say… the rest is history. ❤️

TRADITIONS
The night before the wedding, we stayed completely apart. Jack stayed with his brother, Harry, while Abigail stayed with her friend, Chloe. So there were absolutely no sneaky visits or last-minute check-ins! 😂
We then didn’t see each other at all on the wedding day until Abigail was walking up the aisle.
It was really special having that moment where we hadn’t seen each other all day, and Jack was seeing Abigail for the first time as she walked towards him.
We also decided to keep things traditional when it came to the ceremony and said traditional wedding vows.
So, while we put our own personality and plenty of craic into the day, we did keep a few of those classic traditions that made the ceremony feel even more special. ❤️

OVERALL EXPERIENCE
That morning, the skies suddenly turned completely grey and the rain started absolutely pouring. Naturally, with an outdoor wedding planned, we were watching the weather very closely and wondering what on earth was going to happen!
But thankfully, by around 3pm, everything completely changed. The rain stopped, the clouds cleared, the sun came out and we ended up with 32 degrees of pure sunshine for the rest of the day. ☀️
It stayed beautifully warm and sunny throughout the ceremony, for all of our photos and right through the reception.
So although we had a bit of a rainy start and a minor panic, the weather ended up being absolutely perfect for the day we had imagined.
In the end, we genuinely couldn’t have asked for better weather — it was like the sun decided to turn up just in time for us! ☀️❤️

PHOTOS
Definitely the craic we had with our bridal party, photographers and videographers! 😂
We all just seemed to click really naturally and gelled so well together. Everyone was completely up for having a laugh, and before we knew it, we were all laughing, giggling and messing around.
We got some really, really fun shots because nobody took it too seriously, and the atmosphere was just so relaxed. The time honestly flew by.
Looking back, I think that’s what made the photos so special. It wasn’t just about getting the perfect wedding pictures — it was about having those moments with our best friends and siblings, having an absolute laugh together and creating memories that we’ll now have forever.
Some of our favourite photos are the ones where you can genuinely see everyone having fun. ❤️

THE VENUE
For us, the venue was just completely unique.
It had this incredible combination of Spanish luxury and a beautiful, homely monastery feel. When you walked into the reception area, it genuinely felt like you were walking into a beautiful Spanish country home. It felt warm, intimate and homely rather than like a traditional hotel or wedding venue.
Then you had the most gorgeous courtyard, with a fountain right in the middle, which created the perfect atmosphere for the drinks reception. The hotel rooms surrounded the courtyard, so everyone was literally right in the heart of everything. Nobody was disappearing off somewhere or miles away from the action — it all felt really connected.
Then, through these beautiful double church-style doors, you walked out onto the lawn where we held our ceremony. It was just so picturesque and honestly looked exactly how you imagine a wedding in Spain should look — sunshine, beautiful surroundings and everyone gathered together outside. ☀️
And then there was the pool, which was an added bonus and definitely got plenty of use!
One of the biggest things for us was that we could have the entire venue exclusively for ourselves, so it was just us, our family and our friends. That made it feel incredibly special and personal. For the whole weekend, it genuinely felt like we had our own little Spanish world.
The lawn beside the venue was also perfect for the reception. It had that beautiful garden-party feel, which was exactly the atmosphere we wanted.
And then later in the evening, the party moved into the pool hall, which had a bar, loads of space for dancing and opened out onto a lovely patio area. So people could dance, sing, grab a drink, or head outside for some fresh air while still being right in the middle of everything.
Every part of the venue flowed naturally into the next, which made the whole day feel really seamless.
Ultimately, we wanted somewhere that felt beautiful, relaxed, luxurious and completely private, and the venue gave us exactly that. It genuinely felt like our own little home in Spain for the weekend — and we couldn’t have imagined celebrating anywhere else. ❤️☀️🇪🇸

FIRST KISS
Because our first kiss ever is actually quite a story — and judging by the side-eye Jack is giving Abigail while we’re telling it, we may have very different versions of events! 😂
At this point, we were still just friends.
It was a Sunday, and Abigail was sitting in her apartment in Dublin feeling slightly worse for wear after being out the night before. She was very, very hungover.
Jack had been at a friend’s house somewhere in Dublin and decided it was finally time to tell Abigail how he was feeling. So he texted her:
“Are you around?”
Abigail replied that she was just at home, and Jack asked if he could come up for a chat.
Now, Jack had a very specific reason for this “chat”. He was planning to go up to Abigail’s apartment and finally tell her that he had feelings for her.
So he arrived, they sat down, had a cup of tea and started chatting.
And then Abigail, completely oblivious to what was actually going on, casually turned around and said something along the lines of:
“Actually… my roommate is single.”
Jack’s reaction was essentially: “Excuse me?! Why are you trying to set me up with your roommate?” 😂
He then pointed out that he was, in fact, single — but perhaps more importantly, he wasn’t interested in her roommate.
He was interested in her.
And before Abigail had really processed what was happening, Jack leaned in and kissed her.
Abigail was absolutely SHOCKED.
She had no idea what to do, so naturally, in true Abigail fashion, she immediately stood up, walked away and said:
“Do you want a cup of tea?”
😂😂😂
So while Jack had gone to the apartment fully intending to confess his feelings and hopefully make a move, Abigail was apparently busy trying to set him up with her roommate — and then, when he finally kissed her, her immediate response was to make tea.
And somehow… despite that slightly chaotic beginning, it worked out pretty well.
Because four years later, we were standing in front of the Eiffel Tower, and eventually we ended up standing at the altar getting married.
So I suppose the lesson is: never underestimate the power of a cup of tea. ☕😂❤️

THE RECEPTION
We had a serious party from the minute the reception started!
The band was already playing as everyone arrived, and then things really ramped up when it was time for the bridal party entrance. Their song was Rasputin, and they absolutely got into it — although they got so caught up in the moment that they somehow managed to start walking in the wrong direction and nearly walked straight back out of the reception! 😂
Thankfully, they eventually found their way to their tables, and then it was our turn.
Our entrance song was “Calling” by Sebastian & Gresso, and the place absolutely erupted. Everyone was up on their chairs, spinning their napkins, shouting, singing and generally giving it Dixie, as Jack would say!
We were running around, jumping, waving at everyone and completely losing the run of ourselves. Jack was very much acting the goat, as usual, and we were having the absolute time of our lives.
Eventually, we made it to our seats and settled down for some absolutely beautiful food.
Then came the speeches — and what a lineup! We had some brilliant speeches from Abigail’s brother, Jack’s dad, Jack himself and, of course, our best man Charlie, who kept everyone thoroughly entertained.
And then, naturally, it was time to turn the music back up.
The band got going again and everyone was straight back on the dance floor. Well… technically, we weren’t really supposed to be dancing on the grass, but that didn’t stop anyone! 😂 Before long, the whole place was full of people dancing, singing along and having the absolute craic.
Everyone just completely embraced it, and the atmosphere was incredible.
It was exactly the kind of reception we had hoped for — great music, great food, hilarious speeches, our favourite people and everyone letting loose together.
And, of course, that was only the beginning of the party… 🎉🕺💃

ANY ANXIETY
To be honest, Abigail was anxious about pretty much the entire day! 😂
There were so many little things to think about — the timings, the weather, the guests, the food, the drinks, the photos, the music… basically everything!
But thankfully, Jess was absolutely brilliant at keeping everything under control. She completely reassured Abigail throughout the day, kept everything running to time and made sure that all the little details were taken care of. That meant we could actually relax and enjoy ourselves rather than worrying about what was happening behind the scenes.
Jack was less worried about the logistics and more anxious about whether everyone was having a good time — particularly the food, drinks and overall atmosphere. We wanted everyone who had travelled to celebrate with us to have the best possible day.
Thankfully, the feedback we got from everyone afterwards was incredible, and it was clear that everyone had an amazing time.
Looking back, the day turned out even better than we could ever have imagined. Everything came together, everyone was happy, and it genuinely felt like our absolute dream day. ❤️

PHOTO | VIDEO
A huge, massive thank you to our photographers and videographers! ❤️
We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better team to capture our day.
As we mentioned before, we just seemed to gel so naturally with them, and they fitted in so well with us and our bridal party. Everyone was completely up for having a laugh, letting loose and enjoying themselves, which made the whole experience so much fun.
It never felt overly staged or formal — they completely understood our vibe and just went with it. We were laughing, messing around and having the absolute craic, and hopefully they enjoyed themselves as much as we did! 😂
We’re so excited to see the full footage because we know there are going to be so many amazing moments captured that we didn’t even realise were happening at the time.
We’re genuinely so grateful that we had such an incredible team around us on the day who understood exactly what we wanted and captured the atmosphere, the madness and all the special moments so perfectly.
We cannot wait to see it all — we already know it’s going to be incredible! ❤️📸🎥
ABIGAIL AND JACK WE LOVE YOU GUYS, THANKYOU FOR LETTING US CAPTURE YOUR DAY! REBECCA, NOAH AND OREGAN XXX
