The Sangeet (musical night) took place on July 1st evening and is an evening for all the friends and families to get to know each other and celebrate the soon to be married couple with dinner, singing and dance performances followed by a huge dance party.

It was a magical evening with with love, bright colors and lively, fun-filled performances! We laughed, cried and celebrated as one.

The performances were heart touching and love-filled. Meena’s maternal grandfather recited a poem that he wrote for Meena and Austin. Meena’s brother, Arjun, sang, “You’ve got a friend” and her brother, Raaghav, sang, “”You’ll be in my heart”. Meena’s parents and aunts and uncles danced to a medley choreographed by her cousin, Lakshmi Achari, to songs which include Austin’s favorite, “Koi mil gaya”- “I found  someone”.

Meena wowed us all with her beautiful and lively dance performances.

Meena and her bridesmaids danced beautifully to a medley choreographed by Lakshmi Achari. Meena’s bridewalkers who would be escorting her to the mandap performed to a fun medley choreographed by her cousin, Aditi Bhatnagar.

Austin rocked the stage with his groomsmen to a medley choreographed by Manpreet Kaur.

Meena’s younger brother, Raaghav, along with some of her male cousins had a toe-tapping performance choreographed by Manpreet Kaur.

We were also serenaded by Meena’s cousin, Akshai Bhatnagar, with a guitar performance of the Beatles.

Meena’s cousin Geetika put on an cute and energetic dance  performance with her husband Gaurav.

Meena and Austin took our hearts with a lovely, fun medley choreographed by Meena.

So much talent and love!
What a great way to celebrate the union of two families!

This was followed by non-stop dancing by all to music orchestrated by the talented DJ Craig.
