The dress

“I bought the second dress I wore in 2019 for our original wedding date in 2020. I started to feel unsure about it as the wedding got closer and purchased the dress I wore for the ceremony in January 2022. Then I loved both so thought why not wear both!”

What was memorable with taking pictures with your bridesmaids

“Trying to do a TikTok video and how uncoordinated we all were!”

The Grooms Gear

“Padraig knew he wanted a tuxedo and shoes with no socks from the get go! Two of the groomsmen may have taken some convincing on the shoes with no socks”

Bridesmaids Dresses

“Came across them online on The Iconic. They are Australian and don’t deliver outside of Australia but luckily I have a friend there who was traveling home and was able to bring them for me”

How did you meet

“We met in college in 2010 through mutual friends even though we lived only 5mins away from each other.”

How did Padraig propose to you

“We were on holiday in Chicago and Padraig proposed at the Buckingham fountain after a lovely meal in little Italy.”

What photography related advice would you offer

“I highly recommend doing a first look with your partner. It settles any nerves, gives you a few mins together before a busy day and also means your not missing half of your drinks reception because your away getting pictures”

How did you feel walking down the aisle

“Surprisingly so calm. We were expecting it to be a bit nerve-racking and emotional however everything just flowed and it set a real calm atmosphere for the day”

What was your favourite moment from the wedding

“Everything about the day but the ceremony was beautiful . The acoustic music by Ara lee was stunning. Liz created a personal and really enjoyable ceremony.”

How would you describe your overall wedding experience

“Best day ever!”

Live Music

Wall St. Band. They were amazing!

How was your experience taking pictures

“So easy and seamless. You were so organised and to the point. One of my guests commented the next day that she never got to spend so much time with a bride and groom on their wedding day. And I felt the exact same way! We got all the pictures we wanted without missing out on the drinks reception and spending time with our guests. No time was wasted”

What advice would you give to other couples

“A wedding planner is a must. You need someone local to the area who has plenty of contacts should anything fall through. With all our postponing and new dates, Helen never stressed and always had a contact if a supplier couldn’t do a new date.”

Were there any unique items in your wedding

“We had a memorial stand for my mam and Padraig’s brother Ronan who sadly passed away. I also had a locket on my bouquet with a picture of my mam.”

Were you anxious about anything during the day

“Everyone having a good time and they absolutely did!”

How did you find the photographer

“When we were booking our venue we searched Instagram to find couples that got married there and found an Irish girl. I messaged her with questions about the venue and suppliers and you came highly recommended.”

What made you choose your venue

“The stunning views and privacy of the location. We had the place to ourselves.”

First Dance

“We danced to Sam Cooke – what a wonderful world”

How was your experience with the wedding planner

“Helen was a godsend. She helped us through 2 postponements and 3 wedding dates due to covid. She made the whole planning process so easy. Our wedding day just flowed so smoothly.”
