Grand Old House

The Villas of the Galleon were awesome! The perfect place to host everyone, very relaxing and an amazing beach right in between the Westin and the Ritz, but more secluded with beautiful trees. About 30 of us stayed there together, they were very tolerant 🙂
We had our rehearsal dinner at the Cracked Conch and cannot say enough about them! The food was delicious and the staff was incredibly attentive and accommodating. Dana did an excellent excellent job. I would highly recommend them!
We had our farewell brunch at coconut joes – they also did a great job. The food was delicious and they were able to seat all of us on the deck.

getting ready with the girls, Walking down the isle with my dad, our vows holding hands with the ocean and the sun, how happy Brads parents were that we unknowingly had the same vows as they did in their wedding, dancing around like fools with our favorite people, drinking great wine, big jim signing on as the lead singer of los tropicanos….

Brad is my brothers best friend and partner in crime since they met in high school about 18 years ago. As we all grew up, and I went to undergrad, my brother and I grew closer, and our groups of friends merged together. Brad was always the life of the party – on the lookout for the next great adventure and I was always focused on school and my career – looking to advance my training. Six years ago we both found ourselves single in the midst of summer and started our journey that led to forever! Our wedding day is special to us because it is the same day as our first date that summer.

I would recommend doing the “first look” to anyone. Not having to take wedding photos and miss the cocktail hour was so nice. We were able to actually enjoy the party we planned for so long. I would recommend separating for a little bit after the first look and before you walk down the isle to build the anticipation again. We were together the whole time just because we wanted to be with our family and we had champaign ( which sabering a champaign bottle was really fun!), but I think it would have been nice to separate for even a half hour before actually walking down the isle.

One of our favorite days EVER!

We live across the street from 750 acres of wooded parkland where we hike with our dogs. Particularly in the winter, there is no one there. We went for a walk with our dog, which was a pretty typical activity for us, except he was walking really slow and mumbling to himself a lot. So we were out there for an inordinate amount of time – it was winter and the sun ended up going down, which apparently he was prepared for because he stuck a headlamp on my head ( over my beanie). Super fashionable. So now I know something is up and im walking in front of him and i turned around to see what he was doing and he was down on one knee, ring in hand. It was very private and sweet and our dog, Herbert, was super excited and jumping all over us, It was perfect.

Before walking down the isle, I was nervous because I dont’ like being the center of attention, during our vows, I dont think either one of us knew anyone else was there!

Plan it to the best of your ability and then enjoy it! Don’t get caught up in details. My sister-in-law said it best on her wedding day when she encountered a bit of drama, by saying ” I don’t care, I’M GETTING MARRIED TODAY!!!!!!” with a big smile. Maintain that attitude, and you will have one of the best days of your life

do jack daniels shots count? j/k you dont have to put that up 😉
“ohhhh but you know I have to put that now Stacy” 🙂 ….. I mean look at you in this shot hahahahaha

Rebecca was fun, professional and made everyone feel incredibly comfortable. My family can be a bit challenging at times – we are a strong willed, opinionated crew. Rebecca fit right in and accepted the challenge! She worked with my family and friends, was open to ideas and never made us feel like we were taking awkward family portraits. She was the best!!!!!!!

How sweet it is to be loved by you
Brad’s grandmother is a resident there and he and his family have spent a lot of time there over the years. We have visited as a couple several times and the island has become a special place to us as well. We wanted to share that with our friends and family.
I saw Rebeccas pictures online. They speak for themselves. You were the first vendor we picked!

Livia and the GOH were amazing! The food was delicious, and was actually normal portions, not tiny wedding portions, the wine was amazing – thanks to the sommelier!!! Livia was excellent. She took care of everything that day – from sewing emergencies, to babysitting, to making sure everything was on time and everyone was having fun. She made sure we enjoyed every minute! And thank you to both Livia and Rebecca for working together to ensure everyone made it to the event! The crew of captain marvins! I scheduled a sting ray city trip for everyone. It was a bit bumpy to start with the office crew, but they straightened it out and we all had a beautiful day on the water and a great lunch at Kaibo.
