Desiree Boeyen, Island Weddings & Events Ltd.- I can’t even put into words how Desiree made our dreams come true, she was always on top of everything, always a step ahead! Even having flip flops for me 😉 I never had to do anything but enjoy my day!

Jackie Soriano. Jackie and Trina were the best! I only wish I could have taken them home to make me pretty everyday 😉

When we decided on a destination wedding we thought less then 20 of our close family and friends would join us. When we started getting our RSVP’s and the number was rising to almost 40 we couldn’t believe it! So many people wanted to have this adventure with us and we were speechless. A 7 day cruise and wedding in the Cayman Islands with the people that mean the most to us. Brandon and I couldn’t be more confident in the decision we made to skip tradition and go on this journey!

We love our local businesses and Edward’s Men Shop in our hometown was our only thought for Brandon’s suit! You don’t get service like that at a big box place. Edward and his staff are a cut above.

Steel drums of course!

When i got to the aisle and saw him I was thinking…god I am a lucky girl!

Brandon and I wrote our own vows and in those moments it felt like he and I were alone in the world. Just us forever.

Pastor Mclaughlin. Our ceremony was perfect and so personal thanks to him.

A Dream come True! We can’t wait to go back to the Cayman Islands for many future visits.

Just go with it! I am an OCD Planner and having a destination wedding forced me to leave things to the experts and I am so glad I did! With a backdrop as gorgeous as the Cayman Islands nothing can go wrong….at least nothing that will matter!

Hannah and Rhonda (L’amour Bridal) made me feel welcome the moment i entered Hannah’s chic Bridal Boutique. She genuinely cares about each and every bride and from start to finish she made me feel amazing! My dress was exactly what I had envisioned and the Haute Bridal Jewelry and sash that Hannah helped me choose was just the icing on the cake, I have never felt more beautiful then I did in that dress! The day I picked my dress means even more now then it did that day, I was joined by one of my Best Friends Kristina and my Grandmother. My grandmother in the end was unable to attend our wedding as planned due to illness so the fact that she was able to be there the day I found my dream dress was perfect <3

As told by the Groom: The proposal is a story in itself and is sure to be a great memory to share with our future children. Mackinac Island was the location I decided on. Our friends Justin and Kristina accompanied us since we often travel to Mackinac City and the island with them and I did not want Brandy to catch on. I had mentioned I wanted to go to the highest point of the island to an old British fort, Fort Holmes. Well Brandy decided to drink a few mimosas with Kristina, knowing we had to pedal bicycles up to the fort. The ride up to the fort was filled with laughter, but mostly Brandy yelling about how hard the climb was on the bicycles since she had just drank the mimosas. After a lot of complaining, we made it to the top. The idea was for Kristina to take a photo of Brandy and I with Lake Huron behind us. After the photo was taken, I began to get down on one knee. Brandy didn’t disappoint….she began yelling “What are you doing!” Well it finally clicked in her head that I was proposing. Needless to say, her reaction was priceless as she began apologizing for the attitude on the way there and continued to apologize throughout the rest of the day. After experiencing that day, I know that our marriage will always keep me on my toes and make our relationship stronger and better as our life long journey together progresses.

Do what she says and live in the moment…the intimate pictures will come if you just be yourself!

When I actually met Rebecca I was even more confident in our decision….I can’t wait to go back to the Cayman Islands with our children someday and have her take some family shots! She makes you feel relaxed and honestly she is snapping pictures when you don’t even know it. LOVE her personality!

We did not and part of me wishes we would have had that time together. The day fly’s by and that alone time might have been nice. It’s all about how the couple feels and whether or not that old tradition of not seeing each other till coming down the aisle is important.

Easy…..the atmosphere, the people, the landscape, the water……I can go on and on. It’s breathtaking.
How did you find your photographer? Online research? Word of mouth?
I read Blogs in my sleep to figure out where to start the wedding planning adventure. Rebecca kept coming up and when I started looking at her work I was sold! She is actually how the ball got rolling with our entire wedding, she recommended Desiree and the rest is history!
