Cayman Islands Love Story come true, with Sacha and Paige they truly have a beautiful story and their combined family that includes 2 handsome boys completes this epic couple….. so much love!

How did you meet

We have known each other, or known of each other, in one way or another for over 30 years. Our families were well acquainted however our paths crossed rarely, in recent years, we shared more and more friends in common (particularly when carnival was involved) but we never spent any time together. This all changed one fateful day in August 2019. It’s true what they say, liquid courage is real. What you didn’t know is after a night of celebrating her 30th birthday, Paige decided it was a good idea to message Sacha late at night and see if he wanted to talk, he was immediately suspicious thinking this could be a prank and brushed it off pretty quickly (some things are just too good to be true!). The next day a little foggy, she apologized for the late-night messages and Sacha slowly realized that this was a bit of a genuine thing and his initial reaction needed to be changed right away before he lost his too good, but yet true, chance. A week or so later our first date happened at one of our favorite restaurants, Bacaro. It was the perfect first date, we went by boat and the night was enjoyable, lots of laughter and smiles. We officially became “boyfriend” and “girlfriend” on August 11th 2019.

How did he pop the question

On October 22nd I was sat at home patiently waiting for the press briefing to come on, when Sacha messaged me to put a “nice” bottle of champagne in the fridge, I replied with “babe we’ve got a few bottles of prosecco we are good.” He then proceeded with it’s a nice evening out let’s enjoy a nice bottle maybe the Rose Ruinart, something nice we’ve got lots. I was pretty consumed at this point with the press briefing I just grabbed the bottle put it in the fridge and did not question it. We headed off for our date night on time 5:30 on the dot, cruising down the canal with a nice breeze and some music. We got out of the channel and Sacha put the boat on auto pilot and asked if we could go sit up front to watch the sunset, at this point I had to remind him of the champagne we packed and after quickly pouring us two glasses we sat at the front of the boat talking about life and how great it was. Then he goes to turn the music up or down I can’t remember but obviously this was not what was really happening he had gone to get the ring and came back getting down on one knee. I was so shocked the first thing I said was “what are you doing?” And before I knew it he was asking me to be his wife and the tears started flowing along with a million hugs and kisses. We enjoyed a few too many bottles that night but it was perfect.

Did you see each other before the wedding

We stayed the night together and had breakfast/coffee at the Westin before Sacha left and the girls started arriving for make up and hair.

Cayman Islands Love Story … this gorgeous bride getting ready at the Westin Hotel and Spa

How did you feel just before you walked down the aisle

Amazing and ready to start our future.

Favourite moment from the wedding…

Seeing Sacha’s face when walking down the aisle. Seeing Paige as she walked down the aisle and how beautiful she looked.

Were their any unique items at your wedding

Sacha’s mom and sister passed away in 2019, so we had their photos on the front chairs as you walked up the aisle. It was special for us both.

How would you describe your overall wedding day

Magical and everything we dreamed of.

The very handsome ring bearer to this Cayman Islands Love Story

Were you anxious or nervous about the day

Honestly nothing. Anika was amazing and so was Tess, they both made me feel comfortable passing on everything.
