How did you two meet
In a night club – I walked in with my best friend 9 year ago and I did roley poley across the dancefloor and knocked him over ! He helped me up and offered me a drink and the rest is history !
How did he pop the question
On a beach in Cape Verde – in the dark – with his phone light on as light because he missed the sunset moment due to nerves!
What was the highlight of the wedding
Having all of our friends and family together in one place in the sunshine celebrating , however our twins djing and everyone encouraging them really was the highlight , and of course us getting married !
The Dress
“My final dress was actually my third dress ! I could not make up my mind, I then came across Marium a dress designed in Moldova – it was a gamble as its made and sent ! However when it arrived with my custom veil I cried , it was and is my dream dress ! Third Time Lucky!”
What was memorable about taking pictures with your bridesmaids
The laughter , everyone was just having fun together wit the moments being caught on camera. My favourite part of the day was hair and makeup with all my girls.
How would you describe your wedding day
I don’t think I have words to describe the overall experience , I wish we could do it all over again and again and again . It really was a dream and even after having to cancel due to Covid and wait another year ever so worth the wait! The day was magical.
Did you see each other before the wedding
We didn’t see each other the night before the wedding , but the day before the wedding we threw a big family bbq at our villa to send us both off which was fun!
Any unique moments
My Maid of Honour stood up and did a speech! She was amazing and I would say it was the best speech on the day ! I was so proud of her and I will never forget what she did.
Photography Advise
Make sure you plan your photos and who you want them with – don’t forget aunties and uncles and extended family ! (whoops) – natural shots are the best ! Enjoy the moments as they fly by so quickly and just relax , laugh, cry and let your photographer capture it all.
Were there any traditions
Lots of alcohol (does that count as a custom tradition?)
Advise for other couples planning a destination wedding
Do it – why have one day of celebrations with family and friends when you can have a week of celebrations with family and friends in the sunshine ! It was the best experience of our lives and a memory we will never forget.
How did you choose your venue
The views and teh outdoor setting – it was stunning with teh sun setting over the mountains with the sea in teh background it felt like we were somewhere really tropical!

How was taking pictures with me…
Rebecca was amazing and so professional ! She cared about the shots she was getting and made sure that everything i wanted was captured bringing my visions to life with her images. She made everyone feel so comfortable on the day and most of all enjoyed it just as much as we did ! You can tell Rebecca loves her job so much !
