How did you two meet?
At a birthday party for her roommate, I made fun of his dance moves and we had a sarcastic back and forth banter that was fun. We’ve been together ever since!

How was your experience taking photos/working with me on your wedding day?
Rebecca was so nice and made us feel so comfortable. She said some funny things to loosen us up and make us laugh and I think it helped make the photos seem more genuine and better overall as well.

How did you feel during your vows or just before you walked down the aisle?
He felt excited and nervous, I felt the same and like I couldn’t stop moving around in my dress when I was waiting to go down the aisle.

What was your favourite moments from the wedding?
The first look, though before the wedding, was very special for us. We both felt very happy to finally see each other and it finally felt real that we were about to become husband and wife. Also, my dad walking me down the aisle was significant for me. Listening to some of the meaningful things the officiant said about love and marriage and thinking about how they would apply throughout our lives. The lighting and letting go of the lanterns was magical and dancing with our friends and family was super fun for us 🙂

What photography related advice would you offer to a couple?
I highly recommend the first look. We were both so happy and relieved to see each other prior to the ceremony and it made us feel so much more relaxed beforehand to do those first look pictures alone together.

How did you find your photographer? Online research? Word of mouth?
Online research. Rebecca had the best website/galleries of photos.

What made you choose the Cayman Islands for your destination wedding?
One of my best friends took me there a few times with her family, on the third time I somehow luckily convinced her parents to include my new boyfriend/now husband in the trip, so it was our first vacation together as well. Plus it’s paradise and just made sense!

Tell me about your dress. Where did you find it, how did you choose it, how did you know it was the one? Who were you with? How did you choose the grooms outfit?
Mikaella Lace Wedding Dress. Natural Lace gown with latte lining with scalloped plunging front neckline. Fit and flare skirt with beaded band at waist. Chapel Train. I found it in Austin, TX. I found it first actually in the first store I went in in San Antonio, and loved it immediately. But felt I owed it to myself to try a lot more places/gowns on to be sure. Then at my last stop in Austin, I saw it again, tried it on again and just knew I couldn’t let it go, it was the one. I was with my mom, my sister, and my niece.

What advice would you offer other couples planning a destination wedding?
Definitely get a wedding planner, plan on spending more than you think you will, and stop and enjoy the moments as they come – don’t get too caught up in details.

Dora with Celebrations was really great and sweet to work with, very accommodating. Marc with the Westin helped us out a lot with the hotel particulars for the wedding, and was very nice. Also, Jackie Soriano did my hair and makeup and was outstanding! I was very pleased!!

What’s one piece of advice you would give to other couples for planning their wedding?
Take time to sit back and take everything in. Don’t worry so much about your guests and your families. Do and plan according to what YOU want as a couple because it is your day.

How would you describe your overall wedding experience?
Surreal. It was wonderful but went by so fast!
