Kadi and Damian – The White House – Grand Cayman

February 13, 2014

Kadi and Damian contacted me about their wedding earlier in 2013 and were very excited! I was excited to know they were to be the first wedding at a very exciting new venue called The White House. They knew they wanted full coverage of this awesome event so we pulled the whole team from Picture This to manage the photography, videography and photobooth. Kadi had an entourage of bridesmaids, 8 to be exact so when I got to their room it was party central! We had a good time taking some fun photos, the girls all had housecoats and bags with their names embroidered on them which made for some great shots. Then the boys arrived and Marc, an amazing photographer helped me by capturing the guys and all the details and some incredible shots of the wedding! The ceremony was on the beach and then the reception on the amazing deck of the White House with lots of room for the gorgeous first dance…..Well done Damian with that dip! Then Kadi danced beautifully with her dad and everyone ALMOST had a tear in their eye just as the music scratched to Gangnam style and Kadi and dad went into full on dance mode! Amazing! The night was incredible and the venue beautiful! Juliette from Five Star Events handled the huge amount of guests, the decor, the planning from beginning to end! Ms Annie, also for the backdrop of the ceremony setup and the flowers which were incredibly unique. Here is their story….

Although we both worked at PwC, we had never really spoken until a colleagues retirement party in 2011 where the champagne and conversation was flowing; we had a lot of fun that evening and there was an amazing chemistry between us so Damian asked me if I’d like to go out to dinner the following week.  We were both so excited that we couldn’t wait for dinner and ended up going to the beach 2 days later with Damian’s dogs to enjoy a walk and a bottle of champagne….and, as it turns out, a kiss……and the start of an incredibly happy relationship.  The endless conversations and mutual interests propelled us through date after date and the weeks and months sped by as we enjoyed discovering more about each other; it didn’t take us long to realise that we were perfect for each other and madly in love.  After 2 years and tons of memories (and some not so subtle hints) Damian planned a proposal at a beach in Santa Cruz which we would be passing during a scenic road trip along the coast from Santa Monica to San Francisco. Arriving at  the beach location  in Santa Cruz we looked down from a cliff top to see written in the sand “Kadi, will you marry me?”  After Damian dropped to one knee and proposed, I said YES!!! ….and the rest is history!

A huge huge thank you to Kadi and Damian who included my children in this special day! I will never forget that guys! Cooper was able to hang on until the midnight stroke and pretty much every prop we had danced with all the girls!!!  I really really really love this little guy!!!!!! Cooper you make me smile every day! Love you son!
