ENGAGEMENT SESSION: BARKERS BEACH, GRAND CAYMAN
I am very excited for Dan and Sandra’s wedding next year, especially after hanging out with them for a couple of hours for their Cayman engagement session on the beach. It is so easy to see how the kite surfing addiction gets you…. their passion for this sport is contagious and how fun to photograph them doing what they love most with who they love most. I thought who better to tell their story then Dan and Sandra themselves….. “So guys tell me about how you met and how Kiting is so big in your lives?”
“Our passion for kiteboarding started in Cape Hatteras… we initially met in May 2012 on a kite trip to Cape Hatteras, North Carolina. I found myself on the road trip to Cape Hatteras while chasing the wind and my newfound obsession to learn to kite. At the same time a flawed weather forecast had convinced Dan to go on his own trip to North Carolina a day early…and so began our story.
After relocating to Grand Cayman in 2014, a choice which happened through a series of chance circumstances and good luck we knew we had to live by the ocean and we found the perfect spot right close to our local kite beach. Once we set a date for our wedding some 4 years later from that first day in Cape Hatteras we knew that for our engagement session we had to involve our favorite thing…kiteboarding!
Rebecca captured the vision for our engagement session so perfectly! Her creative and unique photography style, as well as her fun, outgoing personality made for the most relaxed and fun experience! Our photos are absolute perfection and the memories we made doing our favorite thing together here in Grand Cayman are now ours to cherish forever in every single shot!
