Life has a way of placing the right people in your life at the right time… Though we met each other once before, it wasn’t until one summer day that Howard walked right into my life. While delivering a package for his job Howard was greeted by myself upon his arrival. As he turned his back to leave, he decided to take a glance back at me only to catch me staring at him. There was an automatic connection between us as our eyes met. Eager to find out more Howard had a co-worker called my office to request my name unknowingly. After which he called his best-friend to find out as much as he could about me. With an island so small that wasn’t hard at all. Later that day I received a called from Howard who introduced himself and expressed his interest in getting to know me. After a quick chat Howard left his number for me to give him a call if I was interested. I was totally amazed by his charm and after some consideration I decided to give him a call. With such a deep connection we immediately fell for each other and so our adventure together began.

New Year’s 2015, just after midnight, as we were about to leave home to celebrate the new year, Howard popped the big question! Surprised yet with so much excitement I said YES! The night continued, and together with close friends and family, we celebrated our engagement.

We did a first look before the wedding. It was perfect as we got the anticipation out the way after not being able to see each other from the night before. It was a special moment just between us. The look on his face as he turned around and saw me was priceless.

I have many favourite moments from the wedding but I must say that my absolute fav. was: 1. Once I was dressed my three year old son came in to see me and was asked “How does mommy look?” He responded “Perfect!” with a thumbs up and with the biggest smile on his face. 2. Our kids running up to us during the ceremony. 3. A special song that Howard requested to be played.

I found my beautiful dress at Alfred Angelo, Tampa, FL. It is the Princess Jasmine’s inspired gown from their Disney collection. I tried on a number of dresses but it was an absolute yes when I tried this one. The flow of the dress was perfect and suited my personality well.

Everything about the day was absolutely amazing!

We included the Rose Ceremony to our wedding which is a visual representation of the love that we have for each another. Roses have always symbolized love so it was only right that the first gift we gave to each other as Husband and Wife should be love. As a single rose carries the meaning “I love you”. It was also important to include this love and the love of our families on our special day! I of course had something new, something old, something blue, something borrowed and something special.

My experience taking photos was absolutely amazing. Rebbecca is a natural. It was super easy to relax and just be yourself.

Our fist song we danced to as Husband and Wife was “All of me” by John Legend Later that night my Husband requested a special song to be played for me which was “Only you” by Jah Cure.
