The Dress

Before I was even engaged I came across a dress by the 2nd Skin, it wasn’t a wedding dress, but as soon as I saw it I knew it would my wedding dress whenever Joey did propose. Once he proposed, I went straight to 2nd Skin to begin the process. I didn’t look in any other shops or try any other dresses on. When we got to their showroom, I fell in love with the dress even more, and then added the big bow to the back to make it totally unique to me. They really created my dream dress.

How did you meet

We worked together, then ended up being in the same place on holidays that summer with our separate groups of friends. This is where we got to know one another.

How did Joey pop the question

In New York in Central Park. It was perfect.

How did you feel walking down the aisle

I felt very nervous walking down the aisle, but surprisingly calm when reading my vows.

How was your overall wedding experience

The planning can be stressful, and you start to doubt yourself if it’s even worth it or not, but looking back now, it was 100% worth everything. It was the best fay of our life.

How would you describe your photography style

We wanted lots of candid shots. We really wanted the essence of the day to be captured. Of course the formal shots are important too, but we really wanted as much ‘in the moment’ shots as possible.

What were you most anxious for

I guess everyone having a good time. A destination wedding can bring a lot of pressure and expectation because everyone made such a big effort to be there. We had friends and family come from all over the world, even as far as Australia and New Zealand, so we really just wanted everyone to have a great night.
