How did you meet

As you will have heard from Luke’s speech back in 2007 he met his first girlfriend and I was her school friend so it wasn’t love at first sight for us at all! 10 years later we shared a love for travel and both realised we were single and the rest is history. Let me just add no girl code was broken as me and this friend parted friendship a long time before Luke and I met up again.

Flowers

Karen at deseos flowers Marbella. She was more than a florist and an absolute dream to work with. Karen completely got my vision and flew with it. She did everything from the bouquets to table arrangements and everything in between. My bridal bouquet was artificial and made by my lovely friend Ellie in the UK so that I could keep it forever.

Unique Story

4th time lucky!! Covid took away our original date back in 2020 and then again in 2021 twice! But it was well worth the wait even with an extra flower girl with our 6month old that wasn’t even a thought at our original date.

How did Luke pop the question

In San Francisco looking at the Golden Gate Bridge eating my favourite ice cream. (I was only a little annoyed that he didn’t let. Me finish my last spoonful before he asked and it ended up melting)

How did you find the groomsmen outfits

Very easily on the sofa through our friend ASOS!

The Dress

When it came to the dress, I had no idea on what dress I wanted at all so had one of those movie moments where me and my girls went for the day to try on every type of dress going! I then knew I either wanted to go fitted or princess. I was quickly talked out of princess with the Spanish heat and guessed fitted would show my hard work at the gym. On the second outing with my Mum, future step mother in law and girl gang we went to Aurora bride in Surrey where one of my bridesmaids works.

There were 2 dresses I loved and wanted to merge them together but unfortunately the designer could not do this. The owner of the shop Alison came to my rescue with a new dress in that no one had tried on yet… it was that cliche moment of ‘the dress’ (which i did not believe existed until it happened to me) Spagetti straps to suite the summer vibes, fitted in all the right places, the longest train going and sparkles for the Spanish sunshine! This was back in 2019 and we were separated for 3 years before we were united again. I never thought I would feel so amazing in a dress as I did on my special day.

How did you choose your venue

It was a compromise. I always wanted to get married on the beach, Luke didn’t want to turn down the unlimited free bar at Villa Finca Palma and you could see the sea from the amazing view so for once Luke got his way.

Did you see each other the day of the wedding

We seperated the day before the wedding. This made the build up even more exciting.

What was your favourite part of the wedding

Absolutely everything! Though we had Luke’s dad Roger playing guitar and my friend Rachel singing as the wedding party walked down the aisle, they then did a spontaneous set at the end of the night with everyone singing along. This was very special.

How did you feel as you walked down the aisle

Excited that this was finally happening!!! Neither of us are shy so we loved being in front of our loved ones! Luke also enjoys trying to make me look silly in front of people so he relished in this.

Any unique items to highlight

Bride and flower girl matching flower crowns. Made by my bridesmaid Emily. Luna’s baby grow with the personalization on it.

Favourite bridal party moment

My bridesmaids carnage of trying to lift Luke!

How was working with your photographer

Luke wasn’t looking forward to this part of the day at all but we both actually really enjoyed it especially the time we had just us 2 having our photos done.

First Dance

High by the lighthouse family

What were you most anxious about

That people wouldn’t enjoy it. We have been told so many times it’s one of the best weddings they have attended. Food, venue, music, drink everything you need at a good wedding was above expectation.
