The Dress
The most beautiful experience dress shopping at @oliveblossombridal in Overton, Hampshire. We were spoilt for choice and I found so many beautiful dresses I could of happily worn. However this unique and beautiful gown designed by @fredabennet really stole the show. I shopped with my mum and my brother, Max and the looks on their faces when they saw this one was different. We knew it was something beautiful and with a few personalised tweaks (train extension and buttons) it was a dream dress.
How you met
Brandon and I first met at Secondary School when we were 11
How did Brandon pop the question
Brandon popped the question after 8 years of us being together (about time!!). We we’re in Paris on a boat on the River Seine overlooking the Eiffel Tower, it was very romantic and perfect. A complete shock to me as we had many holiday’s/weekends away before this. We we’re on cloud 9 for our whole trip and it is and always will be one of our fondest memories together.
The Venue
When we walked into Finca Monasterio for the first time we were taken back. It was the perfect blend of Spanish tradition. The high ceilings, old big doors, the orange tree courtyard and perfectly groomed grounds we’re like nothing we’d seen before. Our venue accommodated every need, it was private and exclusive, all of our guests could stay in one place. The grounds are absolutely beautiful (as you can see from the stunning pictures), the staff couldn’t do enough for us and we felt like we we’re made to feel so at home for the three days. We couldn’t of asked for more.
Decor
LemonFace Deco did all of our beautiful flowers and decor.
I was totally stunned on my wedding day when I walked down the aisle and saw my floral dreams come to life. As a woman you spend years planning what the day might look like and Camy and her team are to thank for the beauty of our flowers. All of our guests commented about how stunning they were and I couldn’t believe the sheer volume of flowers, it was so beautiful and the smell was also unreal!!! We had multi use for our arch (moving it to behind the top table) and aisle flowers being moved to table centrepieces which was a big bonus too.
I have had my bouquet preserved so we can take in the beauty forever!!
Max
A few twists on the usual traditions for our special day –
Extremely proud to have had my brother & Man of Honour not only by my side for our wedding day but sharing a extra special moment singing our first dance song, we have talked about this moment for years. Max put in so much work to make it perfect for us, getting the music arranged and writing bespoke lyrics. It was the perfect moment and I wish I could do it again and again!
First Look
My first look with my Dad was everything I expected. No tears but a whole lot of joy and excitement to be giving away his little girl!!! He brought the fun and good energy which is all I could ask for in that moment.
The Aisle
Lily – walking down the aisle was like a dream come true, seeing the day before my eyes that I’d dreamt of since I was little and spent 2 years planning. The flowers looking more stunning than I could have ever dreamt and the happy tears of all of our loved ones watching.
Brandon – I was overwhelmed with emotions, an indescribable and irreplacable moment for me.
Our friends and family
Our favourite part of our day was sharing it with 82 of our favourite people – a huge and epic number to have travel abroad, we we’re so grateful for everyone turning up and giving 100% of their energy and love to celebrate our marriage.
The Kiss
During our rehearsal Brandon made it very clear to our priest to not forget our ‘you may now kiss the bride’ moment! So this was definitely a highlight for him. Every couple definitely rehearses their first kiss and I think we nailed it!
Taking Photos
We felt like we we’re in a movie the whole day, all of it was fun and surreal. Being chased around by our favourite little people and cuddled by our best friends.
The Reception
Seeing everyone Shaking their Maracas for our meal entrance was a highlight, it sounded electric, Spanish and everything we wanted. The party started there and really did not stop with our epic band The Jackie Brown Band lifting the roof, and our amazing DJ after.
The Speeches
The only thing that we we’re slightly anxious about we’re our speeches. But all of these went down really well, Brandon says the mother in law jokes went down a treat!
