THE VENUE

The Caribbean Club was perfect for us! We were able to rent out three units and have our closets family members all stay comfortably

THE DRESS

Not many bridal shops to choose from in South Dakota, went to 1 of the 2 shops locally. Brought my best friend, her teenage son (not sure how he got dragged into that) her new born baby and my 2 daughters. Tried on several gowns and then when you know, you know

THE DECOR

Juliette handled everything, I gave her a few boho Pinterest ideas and she took it from there. I didn’t want to waste renting a bunch of stuff or spending a lot of time and money on “stuff” we had the beautiful beach and ocean, that’s all we wanted.

HOW DID YOU BOTH MEET

We met at the gym while he was visiting South Dakota for an annual motorcycle run and rally. It was about a 5 minute interaction and then we went our separate ways. He sent a message via Facebook messenger about a year later. We weren’t “friends” and hadn’t spoke since that one time. I thought it was funny he reached out, I mean why? He lives in CA and I’m in SD. We chatted via phone for a couple weeks and then he asked to meet me for coffee sometime. My girlfriend and I were going to a concert in Colorado for a weekend and I told him he could meet me there. I didn’t actually think he’d fly there…but he did. We hit it off and the coffee turned into a full weekend date. Needless to say he ruined the girls weekend, well for my friend anyway 🙂
He flew back to SD with us and from then on we flew back and forth until he decided to make SD his home

UNIQUE ITEMS

It was a beautiful week spending time with some of our closest family and friends. We arrived a few days before me the wedding and stayed a few days after. We charted a boat the day before the wedding for all the guests and went to Sting Ray City and then stopped at Rum Point for dinner we. It was so fun getting everyone together, many meeting for the first time.
Lots of emotions as both our fathers are gone. my 13 year old son passed away 2 years ago and Todd’s sister 2 years as well

HOW DID TODD POP THE QUESTION

It was winter in SD and he wanted to go hike up this mountain midafternoon, it was practically a blizzard. I kept questioning why in the hell we would do that? Eventually he gave up and proposed in the living room next to the nice warm fire.

THE AISLE

Surprisingly calm and just really happy and excited

THE KISS

Couldn’t wait and didn’t want it to stop!

SURROUNDED BY FRIENDS

Again, it was just great having our family and friends together. They were all there for us, but they all made their week their own too. Loved seeing everyone just enjoying themselves and making a vacation of their own out of it. The Polaroid camera being passed around was fun.
But the ultimate detail was Todd surprising not only me, all of our guests but the entire island with a huge, beautiful firework show!

ALL IN ALL

It was a beautiful week and the most perfect day. All of our friends and family agreed it was one of the best weddings they e attended. It was wonderful working with Rebecca den her family. We can’t wait to visit the Caymans again soon! Thank you
