We fell in love on the 4th of July at Topsail Island, and there were fireworks in not just one way! Our first kiss was on the boat so that very next year, same sweet island, we went out on the boat and he proposed (dropped the ring in the bottom of the boat before it went on my hand) and of course we came back to the house engaged and the southend of the island was under the house and all screaming and jumping up and down! I guess everyone figured it out because when you know you know! So now the 4th of July is our favorite Holiday!

What was unique about your wedding…

Well we planned it around football season so we didn’t miss any games! Since we both grew up in the Pest Control Industry and that is how we met our hashtag was #abugswife which everyone loved! Also when we arrived at the hotel and walked in the suite- Jeremy (with the help of our amazing wedding planner) had filled the room with white balloons and 100 white roses and he wrote cards to my mom and me and said he loved me so much he could “burst” and that even though there was going to be a lot going on to remember to “stop and smell the roses.” We all cried and from then on, Deb brought us flowers and they sent cookies and champagne and EVERYONE was SO WONDERFUL and so kind to us, it was just the most amazing experience! (Not to mention our photographer was AMAZING!!!!)

Town & Country Bridal, New Orleans – The AMAZING Hayley Paige Dress and Custom after party outfit (the Fringe)
We went to New Orleans, Louisiana and only went to the one and only Town and Country Bridal where ALL the amazing ladies there took great care of us (start to finish), Megan helped me pick out the dresses to try on, I fell in love with Hayley Paige and her style so I tried on a handful of her dresses. The dress I chose, the Decklyn gown, was the first dress I picked up and the last dress I tried on. I was there with my mom, my dad, my sister and her husband and my husbands Daughter and Mother, and we all knew when I came out that was the one! We all cried and it was perfect, perfect for the beach and so perfectly beautiful! I just knew, just like I knew Jeremy was the man for me, I knew this was the dress for our wedding!

We did a first look and I am so glad we did, it was a special moment that we were able to share together before all the wedding ceremony and party began. That is something we will remember forever!

We met each other through the pest control industry, his mom was President of the national association (NPMA) two years before my Dad was President, so our families spent a lot of time on conventions and trips together and we all got to know each other! I used to say years ago to my parents if I could chose my family I would chose his mom and stepdad- we were always close! Jeremy and I sat on some national committees for NPMA and got to know one another. So we were always friends and had a connection and then one day he called me and it became more than a friendship when he came to visit that first 4th of July… the rest is history!

Well… that wasn’t as easy! HAHA we went to Perlis, a men’s store in Louisiana and they did the Groom’s suit, my dad, and all the ushers and best man and best son! We wanted a simple look for the ushers and best man and son, and the Groom and Father of the Bride wanted something to stand out more so they picked a beautiful and classic shade of summer blue! It was perfect!

I gave my mom a special charm with our initials and the date to wear and I gave my dad a handkerchief to wear with his suit that had a special note to him. My husband gave me a necklace with our initials and the date. My sister also gave me that day a marble that was passed down from my Grandfather who is no longer with us, who gave it to my dad and then he gave it to my sister and she gave it to me. My mom had a hankie that was from her mother who is no longer with us that has “J” on it in blue that she gave to me. And my other grandmother gave me jewelry to wear in the wedding. It was all so thoughtful.

We went out on the boat where we had our first kiss, he had said we were going to find a spot for everyone to come on the sandbar and set up “shop” for everyone. So when we got out there he kept asking me to look for a place and I kept saying- I don’t know you pick ?? So he stopped the engine and said to me ” I guess what I am trying to say is what are you doing for the rest of your life” and thats when he tried to pull the ring out of his bag and it was upside down and fell out onto the floor of the boat . I still didn’t realize what was happening and so when I saw him pull up the ring and try to get down on one knee (which on a boat is not easy and barely happened!) I started shaking and he put the beautiful ring on my finger and I said yes, a million times yes, and squeezed him (both crying). Then everyday since that day, he would randomly ask me “will you marry me?” it made me so happy to hear him say those words.

ALL OF THEM! The ceremony- the wedding crasher was priceless! And our adorable ring-bearer dropping the rings before we walked down! The welcome party and brunch were so much fun! The after party was awesome, the dancing and the bubbles and sparkling sendoff… it was just so special. All of it was, the one thing I remember the most is that there was soo much love in the room. Everyone was filled with love and showed us so much love and affection, it was a beautiful thing to be with all our friends and family that traveled all the way to be there with us for our special day.

So happy, I could’t even begin to express. I was smiling so much my face hurt! Between having a father/daughter moment just before and then seeing him, I was so happy that I couldn’t contain my excitement! It was perfect and so beautiful!

Well we got lucky, my mom is an amazing wedding planner and working with the amazing Ritz-Carlton and Hajnal our wedding planner and Dora and Deb, everyone was so great they made it easy! So my best advice, get a great groom who is easy going and have a great destination wedding at a fantastic place like this. And remember to enjoy every moment, it was ALL fun if you made it that way! So we just enjoyed everything!

Before the wedding, it was so much fun taking pictures with the bridal party, just having some bubbles and feeling pretty and enjoying time together while we were getting ready! It was such a great day and I just remember loving the atmosphere and how easy to work with and take the pictures it was with you! The people made it memorable! And lets be honest the location and view from our room was out of this world too!

Perfect, it was simply perfect!

The weather, but we made it through the ceremony without rain and then we changed from the great lawn to the ballroom for the dinner and afterparty which ended up being the best decision!!! They transformed the entire place into a dream, so the outcome was more than we could have imagined!

How was your experience taking photos/working with me on your wedding day

My parents and my Husband/Family and I really cannot say enough that our experience was out of this world and just simply amazing to work with you on our wedding day! We were so lucky and fortunate to have you and make our memories for us turn out so beautifully! Thank you so so much, for everything!

Everything was beautiful, everyone was so lovely and made us feel so special! All the talent that went in to creating the vision we had in real life was amazing and it whole thing was just so perfect! It was exactly what we wanted it to be. And I cannot say enough about how fantastic everyone we worked with was and how they all became our friends and family in this experience. Our friends and family that came to support us was so overwhelming and we wanted them all there with us to celebrate and spend time together. It was a wedding full of love and the best day of our lives! Thank you to all who made it that way for us.

It was easy to travel to for most of our guests with lots of flight options and it was the perfect island destination and the hotel was magnificent. We also got to look at the Cayman Weddings magazine and saw what it could be and it was a done deal- there was nothing better!
The magazine and our wedding planner/hotel said you were the best! And turns out we had a few other friends who had you as well so it was a great fit!
