Unique Story about wedding

Postponed 3 times due to travel restrictions, The anticipation was at the maximum for both of us and all our guests- some we have not seen in over 4 years… By the end of the night – every person was taking part in ‘ Trash the dress’ with a midnight dip in the pool!

Grooms Outfit

Something comfortable and suiting! With our wedding party in Canada, matching was a bit difficult to make happen but leave it to my mother to make it work! Justin was able to try his outfit a few days before the wedding and thankfully everything fit 🙂

Cute Story

My big brother was Justin’s Best Man ! My brother and I have always been close and moving away was extremely difficult. From the moment Justin and Adam had met – they were best buds and I was the tag along to their outings. During the time I had moved and Justin was getting ready to make the move, I would get photos and phone calls with the two laughing and having a blast out for dinner, bowling or catching a movie.

The Dress

With our special bundle of joy coming, I was worried about not fitting into my dress so….. ordered two extras…. Two out of the three were used for our Wedding date and fit the scenery & day perfectly.

Bridesmaids Dresses

Deciding on my MOH dress was very important to me.. Once the color was set I sent an image to Mom to see what she thought – her response was a photo of her bridesmaids in the same color when marrying my dad… Truly knew it was the one!

Live Music

Both were phenomenal! Katie captured the perfect music for our wedding Ceremony & Danny kept everyone moving throughout the dinner reception.

Did you see each other before the wedding

Nope! he had to wait! the Flower girls and Ring Bearers added some relief before walking down the aisle so that helped with the pre-wedding nerves.

How did you meet

Justin and I met in college during a partnered project within the classes. I was in charge of checking in on weekly renovations at a local YMCA turned into a school for young families looking to complete their degrees. You could say I kept an extra eye on Justin throughout the program (With our local newspaper catching me red handed) I convinced him he needed a dog, Milo was adopted not long after. Once college was complete we parted ways until one crossing paths at Tim Hortons & we’ve been inseparable since.

How did you feel during your vows

We were both in disbelief the day had finally come, I can’t count how many times ‘Holy S*** it’s finally happening” came out of my mouth

How did Justin pop the question

Justin and I love to explore and try new things, years ago we took on Geocaching and both shared such a love for it! this world wide scavenger hunt lead me to a special geocache in East End with a personalized gift inside – I was shocked to see this gorgeous ring wrapped ever so perfect and bounced around to show Justin who was already on one knee to pop the question.

How would you describe your overall wedding experience

From a planner to a bride I was nervous about something going wrong and THAT be the memory I have from the day – I can say that didn’t happen once. We felt love from near and far between the guests in attendance and those who were unable to make it. All vendors were incredible and we’re so thankful to have lots of friends turn family.

Memorable moments with your bridal party

Having the time to go to a private place and celebrate with just our wedding party gave us the opportunity to truly thank them for all their help and love throughout the day.

Favourite Moment from wedding

There are too many to count, Everyone was laughing, dancing & celebrating as one big family- we couldn’t have asked for more.

Photographer advice

Trust your photographer! Justin and I are more of a behind the scenes couple and can be shy – Rebecca took that element away and caught us at our best moments to remember for the rest of our lives.

Advice for other couples

Don’t stress! Put your trust in a coordinator with good ties and your wedding will be wonderful. Not everything goes to plan and honestly thats what makes it memorable for the future.
