Wedding Dresser Couture by Vassa; Enzoani

I went to Wedding Dresser Couture by Vassa in Woodmere, NY with my mom, soon to be mother-in-law and two of my bridesmaids. It was my first time trying on dresses, I was so nervous! I immediately tried on exactly what I was looking for; something bohemian that’s flowy with straps. I was in love. And then my girlfriends urged me to try on a dress that I actually said no to the owner to 20 minutes prior. It’s nothing like I wanted; plain, long train, strapless. Then the unthinkable happened, I fell in love with two dresses! It took maybe an hour of trying both on again and again and again before picking the one I initially said no to. Note to all brides-to-be, try on the ones you hate too! You never know what you’ll pick.

Show Me Your Mumu

Ryan and I met while I was traveling for work; his company hired my company to install a new computer system and I managed the project. Apparently I managed it a little too well! Their flirting started immediately over LinkedIn messaging while sitting across the table from each other. When I was leaving back to Seattle, we both knew that we needed to keep talking to see what this spark would bring. We had a whirlwind of a relationship. After 4 months of dating, I packed up my dog and flew across the country to move in with him.

I Pinterested beachy outfits. Ryan is a casual guy so I couldn’t go suit and tie for him.

Tommy Bahama

I was so scared! We both hate being the center of attention so having a party just about us was scary! But the minute I walked out the doors and down the aisle, I didn’t even notice anyone else there.

About 2 years later, he proposed over a nighttime bonfire in Montauk and I squeaked out a “yes!” over insurmountable happy tears.

Insanely and scarily calm

Ryan and I both loved Grand Cayman but we never traveled there together. Also, if we got married in NY, we would be looking at 200 guests rather than 50.

The speeches and the coconut rum drinks

Crazy fun! It went by way too fast.

The fake laugh that got everyone laughing!

Find a planner in that locale! It will be a life saver.

It was great! You had great advice for people who aren’t used to getting their photos taken COUGHusCOUGH
