Where are you from:

Rachel is originally from Lexington, KY and Adam is from Buffalo, NY. Most recently as a couple, we’ve moved from Lexington to Charlotte.

We met at a wedding. Adam went (uninvited) with his friend who was DJ’ing the wedding. Rachel attended as an (invited) guest. It was an unexpectedly cold, outdoor wedding and there weren’t enough space heaters. Rachel used the excuse to stand by the heater by the DJ booth and talk to Adam.

We love visiting Napa and Adam proposed at one of our favorite wineries, Duckhorn.

We would definitely recommend having a wedding planner and a weather backup plan.

How was your experience taking photos/working with me on your wedding day?

Rebecca was amazing. She was so energetic and happy and made us feel so comfortable.

We wanted to see each other before the wedding and had a special moment on the terrace of the suite. It was perfect. We had some alone time in the afternoon taking photos which was a really special time together.

Adam wears custom suits for work from J Hilburn so it was obvious that he would want them to make his wedding suit. He chose a light weight material in a light blue.

Surreal

We planned to get married at the Westin St. John. When the hurricane hit the island last fall, we had to find a new location. We looked at other Westin properties and really loved Grand Cayman. In the end, we felt like Grand Cayman was the perfect place for our wedding and where it was meant to be all along.

There was a street parade in Cayman the day of our wedding. It was supposed to pass the venue an hour before the wedding. It was delayed so it passed by during the ceremony. We heard drums and tambourines during our vows, but we didn’t even care. It was so amazing to see all of our friends and family together. It made it very memorable. We were able to take a photo with a couple from the parade after the wedding.

We loved our wedding week because we got to spend several days before with all of our friends and family. The wedding day was the big party at the end of an amazing week.

We had a lot of rain the morning of the wedding and we almost had to move the reception indoors. Thankfully, the rain stopped in time to set up everything outdoors as planned, and we had the most amazing weather in the evening.

Perfect (Ed Sheerhan) – husband/wife Edelweiss (Sound of Music) – father/daughter My wish for you (Rascal Flatts) – mother-son dance

Dancing was our favorite part of the wedding, but also loved looking back at everyone during the ceremony and seeing everyone from so many parts of our lives there to support us.
