We met at boarding school and have been dating since senior year.

My mom and sister flew to Miami for a weekend to go dress shopping. I found a few that I liked but none in the style I always had in my head so I started to lean towards a different style dress. I didn’t fall in love with any that weekend so the following weekend I went to a local dress store (Bellissima Bride) with some friends and tried a few dresses in the new style I liked. I was telling the lady about how I couldn’t find any in the style I originally had in my head, she asked what that looked like so I told her and she asked us to give her a minute. She came back with MY dress. It was exactly what I had always imagined and what I had been looking for!! I couldn’t say yes to the dress without my mom so I called her that night and asked her to fly back to Florida the following weekend and we went back to the store so I could say YES!

We had the dream team for our wedding… Julliette Heath-Ebanks, Rebecca Davidson, Jackie Soriano, DJ Craig and Rev. Myers! Everything went smoothly and we wouldn’t change a single thing or person we worked with!!!! 🙂

Know what photos you want and who you want in them ahead of time! Assign someone else the job of getting the people when they are needed for photos.

How would you describe your overall wedding experience?
Very stressful leading up to the day but worth every second when it came. Everyone had such an amazing time and we didn’t want the night to end.

Rain!!!! A giant black cloud rolled over about 2 hours before the wedding, it rained off and on and drizzled a bit during the ceremony (I’m told that means good luck and many blessings). The skies cleared up and then there was a much needed drizzle during the reception while everyone was on the dance floor!

What’s one piece of advice you would give to other couples for planning their wedding?
Don’t sweat the little things!

I asked the girls to wear their hair back out of their face for the ceremony and photos as the wedding was outside and I didn’t want the wind to blow their hair in their face. I just prepped the guys by warning them they would probably be hot and that I didn’t want them to complain to me so to bring an extra shirt for later (they all did and they all changed before the reception 🙂 ).

So easy!!! Trey and I have never been big on photos but working with Rebecca felt so natural during our engagement shoot and during the wedding. She has the best ideas and is really great at bringing them to life by telling you where to go and how to pose!

We did first look photos. We both really liked being able to see each other before the ceremony and to not feel that extra pressure in front of everyone. We got a few minutes to talk and to see each other before taking a few photos. We had the whole time after the ceremony to take family and bridal party photos, which was great! I also wouldn’t let my dad see the dress before the wedding day so I did a quick first look with him which was really special for both of us!

Very excited!!

The ceremony (even though it sprinkled for a bit) and the reception (it sprinkled then too but it was much needed on the dance floor!)

Rebecca has taken photos of my sister and I since we were about 5/6 years old! I have seen tons of weddings she photographed and the photos are amazing! It was a no brainer!
