Jennifer and Michael – Quite Simple – They Rocked!!

January 28, 2011

Here is the story of Jennifer and Michael’s Wedding …. I met these guys last year when they flew in to coordinate their event and a quick engagement photo session. We chatted a lot about their wedding and I think it was right at that moment that I knew these two would have a “killer” wedding. Wow!  I couldn’t wait. Fast forward 12 months. Finally the big day had arrived, Jennifer decided to get ready at Morritts, so we started way out on the other side of the island, and as we journeyed towards Grand Old House for their ceremony, we were able to take advantage of Cayman’s “gorgeous” East End, stopping off and getting some great shots at the Blow Holes and my favourite, East End Gas Station. 🙂

Mary Ann,  planner-extraordinaire, from Celebrations coordinated this fabulous event. The flowers and décor were perfect, simple and stunning. Michael, though could not hold it together, as Jennifer turned the corner of Grand Old House to walk down the aisle. But check out when he got to kiss his bride ….. he picked her up and planted a big one !!!!!! Nice move Michael.

The sunset was perfect! The bridal party danced in to the reception and the best man surprised the groom by producing a letter he had found that he had wrote when he was 10 years old. Everyone got a copy to read at their tables at Michaels disbelief. At the look of his face you couldn’t help but laugh your head off!!!!

Jennifer called a couple of days after the wedding to tell me her dress was filthy! So they wanted to do a TTD session. Trash the Dress? “But this was not planned” I said! “We’re Trashing it!” OKAY!!! BRILLIANT! So off we went to the fountains of Camana Bay, and Shangri-La (my mum and dads house, thanks dad!) where Michael wanted to carry his bride over the threshold. Then finally to Seven Mile Beach where we finally got a little wet.

Did I say a “Little” Wet? I love this shot because to me it captures their personalities. Yep “Nutters”!

And a big shout out to Simon, the coolest Limo driver in Cayman! Thanks Simon for being such a good sport and driving all over the place with that gigantic car of yours!

Jenn and Mike, I love ya man! You guys ROCK! We’re coming to see you in California right?

Hands down the best photographer this side of the pond!!! Throw in Gary and Aaron you can’t ask for a better team working your wedding! So personable, caring, thorough, open and down right fun! She made you feel so comfortable to be yourself and the pictures reflect it.

After being given a list of photographers from the Ritz, we came across Becs and have never looked back. When you work with her you get more than just wedding pictures, you get art. These photo’s will be charished by our family and friends for lifetimes.

We started with “the revealing” at The Morritts, which saved much needed and wanted time to spend with our family memebers later…highly recommended by Becs and we couldn’t agree more. As you can see, I still teared up when I saw Jenn coming down the aisle, nothing will ever take that moment away from a groom. She took us for a ride that we will never forget!! Pictures along the water, in a ship wrecked dingy, a fruit stand and best of all, the blow holes! Priceless!

One of the highlights of our trip was experiencing wreck the dress! Her vision is captured in her unique choices of locations, colors and ideas…completely unmatched anywhere.

Rebecca Davidson and team we’ve been home for two weeks now and I can say with honesty and a little jealousy….you are missed! Thank you for all of your hard work but most of all we are blessed to have you not only as our photographer but as our friends! We look forward to the day we can get you to California and show you as much fun as you’ve shown us!

Much much love…
